ROTORUA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS MARCH 2019, Rerewhakaaitu STREAM 

RESULTS:

The Rotorua Champs were held on Lake Rerewhakaaitu on the 9th and 10th of March, after finding Lake Aniwhenua drained to a very low level the champs had to shift venues. The fishing was tough and all anglers had to battle for every single fish. Those that cracked the code came through the field. Congratulations to our new champion Tim Anderson 1st, with Tim Rich 2nd and Hugo Pearce 3rd. Consistency paid off for these guys and they placed well through the sessions. It is great to see another one of the young guns (Hugo) up on the podium. Hugo also got the biggest fish a 67cm Rainbow - WOW. Also, well done to another young gun Ollie B who landed 7 fish today... the top score for a session this weekend. Thanks to Johnny Bell the organiser for a great champs, and welcome to the sport Chris Howlett who fished his first lake event. Thank you to Roland who was a dummy angler for the weekend also. 
This was the last lake event for the season, so all the results will get tallied and the top 20 Anglers will go through to the lake national champs - stay tuned.
