TAUPO REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS DECEMBER 2017, LAKE Kuratau

RESULTS:

The Taupo Champs were held on the 9th and 10th of December on Lake Kuratau. Congratulations to Cory Scott (1st), Tim Anderson (2nd) and Peter Scott (3rd). Biggest fish Brendon Lyon 60cm! Conditions were great and mixed from flat calm to a nice ripple. The lake fished really well with anglers finding some pockets of rainbow trout and the lake produced a number of hatches, as well as raising fish to Manuka/ Green Beetles. Many thanks to Johannes and Johan as the organisers, and special thanks to all the boat owners without you the champs could not run. We were also privileged to have Rod and Reel Tackle as well as Methven support the champs with some great prizes. A great end to the circuit pre Christmas, we kick off again in January 2018!
