2015 Waikato Regional Championship Results - Lake Maraetai. Sponsored by Totally Fly

This years competition had unseasonally hot and calm weather on the Saturday .Fortunately the lake had been closed for 3 weeks prior because the flat calm conditions made it harder than usual in the afternoon especially but even in the morning .

Mark Mc Sweeney won the first session with 6 fish with Gareth Godrey and Johan Venter each getting 5 fish for second and third .

The afternoon was much harder although Sam Bourne mastered it with 6 fish for 1st with Craig Farrar in the same boat 4 fish for second and Tony Houpt 3 for third

As usual it came down to the last session and Dan Comers consistency in the breezy conditions enabled him to win with Gareth Godrey second and Tim Rich third .
A very close comp in the top half of the field with fish size often the telling factor and any lost fish very costly.
